Well hello there. This week, due to... life... I'm taking a break from updating Vua to bring you the beginning of another project long in the making. This is the first half of an episode from a short series I've been writing for several years. It's a little more light-hearted, in its own way. For lack of a better title, I've named it with a description, Books and Cats and Other Such Strange Things, which you can find under the stories tab, or you can click here to save your precious energy. Good-bye till next year!

This week, I present some new DnD 5e content: Extreme Environments and Survival Spells. This rule supplement supplies rules for DMs to include dangerous extreme environments such as the endless void of space, dangerous natural gases, and chaotic high-magic areas, with other. Additionally, there are some new spells that can be made available to players, to help them survive even the toughest of journeys. Head on over to Tale-Top.com/dnd-5e to give it a look!
- Scotti VuaGreetings! My watch tells me it's Sunday night, which in my book still counts as Sunday and therefore, I bring you another chunk of writing. It's on the short side this week, mostly because I'm still recovering from November, but it is progress nonetheless. You can check it out here, or under the stories tab under Vua. Happy-very-nearly-officially-wintertime everyone.
-Mack This week, we bring you a new way to cast spells in 5th Edition DnD. Introducing: Incantation Casting. This new rule supplement allows for casters to work together to cast spells beyond their regular limits. The goal of this design was to find a way to allow lower level parties to achieve the effects of certain high level spells. The rules allow both for player-driven research of incantations, as well as incantations introduced by the DM as plot points, loot, or as part of villainous plans.
Also included is a new spell: Séance. This spooky new spell allows you to contact the spirits at the dead, at the risk of opening the door for not-so-friendly spirits. Check out both of these on the Incantation Casting pdf, available for free viewing or download right here at Tale-Top.com/dnd-5e. Happy Casting, Scotti Greetings to all on this fine December evening. This week officially marks my first posting after Nanowrimo last month. Congratulations to everyone who participated, even if you didn't finish - way to crank it out like a word mill. Even if you didn't hit 50,000 words, success is arbitrary - 500 words is kind of a lot if you have a life (some of us just didn't for a month and that's cool too).
In wake of all that jazz, I bring you some of the end of my previous manuscript, nearing the start of the new stuff I spent last month writing. More importantly, it's actually readable now! It's been pointed out to me that I accidentally posted one section twice, but it should make a whole lot more sense now. AND, I've changed the colors to something that's not a headache to read, though it took a little more motivation than I thought I had. You can check out the new stuff in the link here, or you can navigate to it the more convoluted way (just think of it as a treasure hunt) by going to the stories tab and clicking on Vua. Happy December, everyone. -Mack |
